scribbling a return
skryblans (the site) is still here. Scribblans (the author – me!) is also still here. Putting the two things together might lead you to the reasonable conclusion that there could have been some newer posts on here well before now.
But of course I don't expect you really cared, and you were perfectly happy with all the rest of the posts continuing to brighten your days on Bearblog, and elsewhere on the Indie/Small/Tiny web.
Fair enough. Me too.
For example, I saw the Imperfect and Unstory thing was an entertaining subject for a few posters. I hate to say it, but I'll claim to have called out the Imperfect blog some time ago on my last post here.

I actually had an email exchange with them that was quite entertaining as well. For me anyway. I think it ended up with them being really very confused about what I was saying. Perversely, I thought that was immensely satisfying and very funny.
Of course, as unstory they tried the 'it was meant to be satire' angle, and I could have told them that wouldn't work. A lot of bloggers don't get that sort of thing, especially if it's subtle.
Anyway, skryblans.com, the site, nearly wasn't here recently as I let the Bearblog annual sub deadline come and go unpaid. The site reverted to a being a bearblog.dev site for a while, and I was demotivated enough to just let it sit here, with a few posts on it left live for posterity.
However, it turns out that as soon as I decided to let that happen (having not posted here for ages) that I got the itch to write something again.
So I have paid up and am now coming to you again from a .com address.
Of course, as soon as I started writing this post, I couldn't remember what it is that inspired me to write something again.
I don't think this post is it. Although with my memory, it might well also be a 100% accurate post that reflects exactly what I was thinking.
You'll never know. And, very probably, nor will I.
But, as usual, I have wrung a few words out of the blank space that is my mind, and I have completed the task of 'writing a new blog post on skryblans' that has been on my task list for many months now.
Admittedly it's not in any way entertaining or informative, but it is definitely 'a new blog post on skyblans'
Now we can all wait and see how long it takes for the one after this to arrive.
